Algariate Lsimitada was founded in the spring of 1991 as the main official importer for Bavaria Yachtbau GmbH for Portugal, Azores and Madera. At this time Algariate opened a charter base in “Vilamoura Marina”, where still today is the main head quarters.

Later a base was opened in the Caribbean due to a strong demand from our charter clients to be able to fulfil their life long dream of crossing the Atlantic. This then became the “Carib Cup” crossing to which we have clients wait listed each year for this crossing.

In 2001 we then opened offices in the marina of “Cascais” to cater for our clients from the north of Portugal. During this time we also opened a charter base in “ Gibraltar” to accommodate one-way charters from Portugal to the Med and vice versa.

Algariate have been operating in the Algarve for 14 years now and have gained a reputation for our friendly professionalism, and our commitment to ensuring all our guest enjoy a safe and successful sailing holiday. Along with the added insurance for our private owners that there yacht is extremely well maintained and cared for. Maintaining all European safety regulations.
