Beaches and Islands: There are more than 365 islands and 2000 beaches. Parati: A few miles away is Parati, a historical city with al its colonial times architecture preserved. Like Angra, Parati offers bays, harbours and parts of the Atlantic forest. Cataguazes Island: The Cataguazes Island is one of the most beautiful islands of Angra dos Reis surrounded by white sands, clean water and the emerald green sea, full with “Pitanga “ trees. So if you plan a visit there don’t forget your camera. Gipoia Island: The Gipoia island is very versatile there are many beaches for all tastes: tranquil, beaches for surfers, deserted and also crowded about 14 all in all to choose from you will also find many beautiful churches on the island.
